Why a ‘Circle of Trust’ is so important and how to create it
Making big changes in life can be overwhelming. When I make changes, I look to the people around me for their thoughts and suggestions, to help reaffirm that I’m either doing the right thing, or if I should have another look at it.
Often times, when you seek guidance from others, self-doubt or even thought-cancelling can happen, usually because the people you have chosen to guide you, don’t necessarily understand your journey. Sometimes their own fear can come in and take over. Or perhaps they just want you to stay the same because that makes them comfortable.
Over the years I have developed my ‘Circle of Trust’; those people that I truly know have a passion to see me grow and develop and are happy to give me constrictive feedback that makes me think harder and deeper about the outcomes I am going after. And when it comes to making big decisions, I would be lost without them.
Here’s what your ‘Circle of Trust’ should look like:
· People who are successful and clever in what they have achieved in life
· They are people who ask questions that make you think
· They come from diverse backgrounds to give you variety of talent
· You trust them
· They only want to see you succeed and have no reason to hold you back
· They may have already succeeded in the area you are trying to improve in
· They have no judgement
· Thy are not scared but excited for your future
· They will support and champion you along the way
Have a think about your ‘Circle of Trust’… do you have one? Are these people in it? If not, slowly start to think about these people and develop your circle so that you know what you are being helped with, comes from the very best intentions.
After being a small business owner for 25 years, I sold my business to concentrate on my true passion: people.
I want to help you find your WHY and your HOW, and to make the necessary changes to improve your business and personal life. Taking control of where you are, but more importantly where you want to be, is what it is all about.
You need to work out what is stopping you, and what changes need to be made or improved on, so you can move forward with gusto and determination. Go get the life you want, it's ready for you!
I’d love to hear from you. x TM.
