Checklist: do these 5 things to gain visibility for your brand

Visibility is the number one focus if you want to achieve sales because, here’s the thing, you can’t sell a secret. Now some of you will be one-person business operations where you do everything. Some might have a small staff or some might be CEOs, but if you’re not doing these 5 simple things to gain visibility, you should be.

1.     Storytelling – take people on a journey to understand your brand. Tell them your experiences, what you can do for them and the outcomes that they can expect. And do it with storytelling. Just like our children getting engrossed by a story, adults love it too – storytelling is a great tool for engagement.

2.     Use events to your advantage – hosting events are a great way to expose your brand to others. Showcase your products or services, get relevant speakers in, have a few giveaways and make it fun.

3.     Have a website that works – it’s all well and good to have a great marketing funnel that pulls huge numbers of people to your website, but what good is it if your website isn’t working for you? People want to know what you offer, why they should choose you over a competitor, and an easy method to purchase. Ensure it’s visually appealing, user friendly, current and uses calls to action to convert from potential customer to a loyal and returning customer.

4.     Utilise blogs, videos, newsletters and podcasts – or as many engaging touch points as you can that speak directly to your audience. Get known for what you know, using the platforms your audience uses.

5.     Get active and consistent across social media – like I said, you can’t sell a secret and with 16 million active Facebook users across Australia alone, you’re bound to get your brand in front of someone that’s interested!
